Teaching Philosophy
As an educator, my aim is to cultivate critical and creative thinking in students, equipping them with the intellectual and technical tools necessary to make meaningful contributions to the contemporary art discourse. Sculpture, as a medium, serves not only as an artistic practice but as an intellectual exercise that engages with both historical context and personal narrative.
I embrace a pedagogical approach that merges rigorous technical instruction with conceptual exploration. Rooted in the principles of experiential learning, my teaching emphasizes the importance of critical dialogue and reflective practice. I create an environment where students are encouraged to question conventional boundaries and contextualize their work within broader social and cultural frameworks.
My teaching practice integrates innovative methods and interdisciplinary strategies to help students engage with the global art world. I challenge them to develop their own artistic voices, ensuring they can critically assess their work while remaining open to new ideas and approaches. By combining theoretical inquiry with hands-on experience, I prepare students to navigate the complex dynamics of contemporary art, both as creators and as thinkers.
My ultimate goal is to shape artists who not only master their craft but who can actively contribute to the cultural landscape, blending aesthetic innovation with intellectual rigor.
